Akseli Gallen-Kallela

Exhibition of Finnish painter Akseli Gallen-Kallela at Rogaland Kunstmuseum. Called the "Finnish Munch" or the "Jugendstyle painter", he is probably most known for illustrating the Finnish national epos Kalevala. It is always a good idea to visit Rogaland Kunstmuseum on Sundays to catch the guided tour.

Njord was doing a great job lecturing about the different paintings. This is Akseli and his son skiing. Great colours!

Gallen-Kallela had to kill and stuff the woodpecker to make this painting.
