Miniature installations in public space
The exhibition in Andipa Gallery shows the work of Slinkachu from around the world. He puts tiny figurines to intervene or communicate with the surroundings where they are set. The starting point may be a feature everyone else would overlook, like a sigarette butt or a crack in the concrete. Slinkachu transforms this into something totally different by adding the figurines. The installation will probably soon be destroyed unconsciously, having only been seen by the artist. Every installation is carefully photographed, both close up and shown how it is set in the surroundings. As a treat for the visitors, here are also some installations made for the gallery. Although not using features on the spot, rather stuff brought here, they still give us a good feeling of how the other installations might look and feel like out there in the urban landscape.
