77 miniature pastels
Seventyseven miniature pastels are covering large portions of the walls. On each work the artist started with an empty rectangle, filling it with lines of different colors. Tocchi means touch in Italian, and this is what she does, touch the paper with the pastels. The result is a large quantity of colorful patches. I sense there must be two difficulties involved: to stop in time before there is too much color in the square, and to avoid repetition.
What makes this special? It is the simplicity of each work, the miniature size, and most of all the vast total number.
