Combinations of European wall tiles and Ottoman decor, modern pictograms and animations.
Ramazan Bayrakoglu: Fire
A dramatic picture of a burning house, painted with serigraphy ink on plexiglass panel. This creates a shiny effect, at the same time realistic and poster-like color fields. This is a building in extreme makeover, in transition between existence and non-existence.
Ayse Erkmen: PFM-1 and Others, from the series of "Mines"
The animations present armies of green warfare objects marching, or funny objects jumping around, emitting synthetic sounds as they move. The shapes of mines and other weapons are made into toys by color, movement ans sound.
