-sensation in contemporary sculpture
Kunstforeningen Gl Strand
5.2.-15.5.11
I have to admit the title (and also some of the sculptures) reminds me of the horrible horrormovie Wax. Some of the figures ARE quite scary, but oh, so well done. The exhibition contains human life-sized figures, abstracts and still-lives. But I mostly found the human figures most impressive. Here are some of my favourites:
Oleg Kulik: Tennis Player (from the "Museum of Nature" series)
(the person in front is a live visitor)
Michael Elmgreen & Ingar Dragset: Modern Moses
Brigitte Waldach: Depictions in Space
Vanessa Beecroft: Blonde Figure Lying
Yangjiang group: Waterfall no. 2
