Waiting for EKA
Tallinn, Estonia
Walls of the property of the future EKA building
Murals by students of the Estonian Art Academy (EKA)
This year the building of the Estonian Art Academy was demolished. This is done for building a brand new building, which takes time. While the planners and archaeologists do their work, the students are spread all over the city in different buildings. To shorten the waiting, or to lighten up this present emptly lot in the center, the students apparently have been invited to paint the security walls. Here are the results:
"In Tallinn there is zero tolerance against graffiti - absolutely no graffiti, nowhere."
Vice mayor Taavi Aas, news broadcast 24.10.11
The situation is S**T, but this is our time's fertilizer
Culture calls/balls - but EKA's home?
