Installation, reflections
During the open night at the museum there was a special treat for the visitors. A one night only installation by Elin Melberg in a staircase usually not open to the public. In this beautiful old staircase with massive wooden stairs and a skylight window, her sculpture of glass beads is slowly revolving in mid-air. The light cast on it reflects onto the walls in a kind of mirror ball effect. The title "tumour" points to one of our deepest fears, the fear of having a terminal disease. But it is impossible not to be seduced by the beauty of the object and the wonderful shower of reflections on the walls.
