Lilleküla train stop and pedestrian underpass, Tallinn
Summer 2014
Underpasses are usually neglected areas and can be quite dubious and scary. At Lilleküla train stop in Tallinn the passage used to be over the tracks, now it is put underground. Even if the passage is notoriously unfit for bikers and skaters because of the steepness and sharp curves, it has become a joy for the pedestrians. Colourful creatures by various streetartists now decorate the walls, making it an underground gallery. As this leads to the largest soccer arena in Tallinn, footballs are one of the themes.
