The Art of Collecting
6th Tallinn Applied Art Triennal

The 6th Tallinn Applied Art Triennal is a festivity of great design and great ideas joined. Large spaces on two floors of the museum, plus a performance moving through the corridor, provide space for a vast variety of artwork. The theme is collections or collecting, and all artworks are somehow connected to this topic. Here are some of my favourites:

The design of the exhibition space is also interesting, wooden frames in the medieval vaulted halls.

Underwear made from now useless money, the Estonian Kroon that was exchanged for Euro a year ago.

All these items are parts of a piano, even the strings.

A performance of 70 women walked up and down the stairs, wearing white to purple clothing, each a shade darker than the one before.
